Renu Kashyap’s reported statement about using the SIR process to remove 20,000–25,000 votes to benefit the BJP is deeply disturbing and raises serious questions about the integrity of the electoral process.

No matter how hard the BJP tries, Congress will not allow even a single genuine vote to be taken away. Every eligible voter has a constitutional right to vote, and we will stand guard to protect that right.

The Election Commission must immediately examine these reported remarks and ensure that the electoral process remains free, fair, and impartial.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਘੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਚੈਨਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਈਵ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਣ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਉਹੀ ਰਵੱਈਆ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਕਈ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਚੈਨਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਲਾਈਵ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਣ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।

ਹਾਲਾਤ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਸਪੀਕਰ ਸ. ਕੁਲਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਕਿ ਚੈਨਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੋਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਲਾਈਵ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ।

ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਪ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸੰਜੀਦਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਨਾਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਚੈਨਲਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਾ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ।

ਜਿੰਨਾ Serious ਮੁੱਦਾ, ਉੱਨੀ ਹੀ Non Serious ਸਰਕਾਰ!

ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਪੰਥਕ ਕਚਹਿਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਆਪ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਬਿੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਈ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਰਤੇ ਗਏ "ਕਸਟੋਡੀਅਨ (Custodian)" ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਬਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਨੁਕਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਸਿਰਫ਼ Formality ਬਣ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਕਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹੋੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਅਹਿਮ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਣਡਿੱਠਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਨਿੰਦਣਯੋਗ ਹੈ।

2024 के लोकसभा चुनावों के बाद, जब पंजाब में कांग्रेस ने 7 सीटें जीतीं, तभी से यह सब शुरू हुआ। इसके बाद घटनाक्रम कुछ इस तरह आगे बढ़ा, मानो एक सुनियोजित नैरेटिव तैयार किया जा रहा हो—

• सबसे पहले यह प्रचार किया गया कि जीत के बावजूद कांग्रेस का वोट शेयर घट गया है।
• फिर कुछ छोटे समाचार चैनलों ने लगातार खबरें चलानी शुरू कर दीं कि पंजाब कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष को जल्द बदला जाएगा।
• इसके तुरंत बाद कुछ चुनिंदा सोशल मीडिया इन्फ्लुएंसर्स ने कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष की छवि खराब करने का अभियान शुरू कर दिया।
• दिलचस्प बात यह रही कि जो लोग कभी AAP या भगवंत मान के खिलाफ एक शब्द नहीं बोलते थे, वे अचानक केवल कांग्रेस नेतृत्व पर हमलावर हो गए और उसे AAP के प्रति “नरम” बताने लगे।
• इसके बाद लगातार ऐसी खबरें प्लांट की गईं जिनमें नेतृत्व परिवर्तन की मांग उठाई गई और उपचुनाव में मिली हार के बाद इस्तीफे का माहौल बनाने की कोशिश की गई।

कांग्रेस हाईकमान ने इस पूरे मामले को समझदारी से संभाला। पहले इस्तीफा स्वीकार किया और फिर सभी पहलुओं पर विचार करने के बाद नेतृत्व को लेकर फैसला लिया। विडंबना यह है कि जो लोग फैसले को प्रभावित करने की कोशिश कर रहे थे, उन्होंने न तो संगठन को मजबूत करने के लिए ज़मीन पर काम किया और न ही कांग्रेस में बैठकर संगठन के लिए समय दिया।

पिछले छह महीनों से यही सिलसिला जारी है। 2027 के विधानसभा चुनावों के लिए पार्टी को मजबूत करने के बजाय, कुछ नेता लगातार प्लांटेड खबरों और अंदरूनी गतिविधियों के जरिए संगठन को कमजोर करने में लगे हुए हैं।

पंजाब की जनता कांग्रेस की सरकार चाहती है। लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से कुछ लोग पार्टी की जीत से ज्यादा अपनी व्यक्तिगत महत्वाकांक्षाओं को प्राथमिकता दे रहे हैं। कांग्रेस से बड़ा कोई व्यक्ति नहीं है। यदि संगठन को भीतर से ही कमजोर किया जाएगा, तो उसका सबसे बड़ा लाभ केवल सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी को मिलेगा।
