हम 150 करोड़ लोगों का देश होने के बावजूद दिन में एकाध घंटे बिजली चली जाए तो शोर मच जाता है।

फ़्रांस में बिजली ग्रीड माँग पूरी नहीं कर पा रहा,

सवा लाख घरों की बिजली चली गई। 40℃ से कम में ही हाल बिगड़ गया, नदी का पानी गर्म होने पर दक्षिण-पश्चिम फ़्रांस में एक परमाणु रिएक्टर तक बंद करना पड़ा।

गर्मी से रेल पटरियाँ मुड़ रही हैं...

ब्रिटेन, जर्मनी और स्विट्जरलैंड में रेल सेवाएँ रद्द हो रही हैं, जबकि भारत में प्रतिदिन 25 हजार रेलगाड़ियाँ चल रही हैं और गर्मी के कारण एक पैसेंजर ट्रेन तक रद्द नहीं हुई।

इतनी बड़ी जनसंख्या और विशाल देश में जिस तरह व्यवस्था संभाली जाती है, उसके लिए धन्यवाद कहना भी सीखिए।

स्पेन ने गर्मी से मौतें बढ़ने की चेतावनी दी है। शिक्षा, परिवहन और दैनिक जीवन प्रभावित है। इटली में इसी हफ्ते 5 लोगों की जान गई। फ़्रांस में 40 लोगों के डूबने की ख़बर आई। लगभग पूरे यूरोप में अलर्ट है।

असली बात यह है कि यूरोपियन गर्मी के मौसम के हिसाब से ढले ही नहीं हैं। ब्रिटेन और फ़्रांस की अधिकांश इमारतों में AC तक नहीं है।

यूरोप में ऊर्जा व्यवस्था चरमरा गई है। बिजली उत्पादन कम और बिजली महँगी हो गई। जर्मनी में कुछ ही घंटों में बिजली की कीमत 86 यूरो प्रति मेगावाट-घंटे से बढ़कर 566 यूरो प्रति मेगावाट-घंटे हो गई।

भारत में साल-दो साल पर बिजली के दाम एकाध रुपए बढ़ जाएँ तो बड़ी ख़बर बनती है, जर्मनी में ऐसा हो रहा है। ध्रुव राठी वहीं बैठा है, कुछ नहीं बोलेगा।

यूरोप का बुनियादी ढाँचा गर्मी के लिए बना ही नहीं है। सोचिए, अगर भारत जितनी गर्मी वहाँ पड़ने लगे तो इन विकसित राष्ट्रों का क्या हाल होगा!
