Odyssey is not projected to rank in the top 100 highest grossing films after adjusting for inflation. Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises were in the 50s. Odyssey was Nolan's most ambitious film with most compelling subject material. Artistic failure. Hopefully Nolan's last film.

Normally they attack woke Hollywood casting and the movie they're attacking is - like - the Ghostbusters all-female reboot or a Supergirl movie nobody wanted. For some reason this time they decided to run the grift on a film by Christopher Nolan, a man who's only made one arguably bad movie in Tenet and has never really had a flop except for Tenet, which came out during Covid and still made $360 million.

Why you would run a grift about how this woke movie is guaranteed to flop on a film by one of the best directors of all time whose movies always make money is beyond me. Due to this insanely stupid tactical error, they now need to make up ridiculous conspiracy theories about how everyone secretly hates this incredibly successful film because they're desperate to save face

Even Emily Wilson is now attacking The Odyssey for misrepresenting Ancient Greek beliefs. Odysseus would not have suffered from “guilt” or “trauma.” These feelings were quite alien to the Mycenaeans. Just saw The Odyssey. Pretty good. A little long for my tastes, but I guess that’s to be expected from an epic. Wasn’t even remotely “woke” or whatever. 7.5/10
