@moreisdifferent Bless your poor hypochondriac soul. Your mask is likely soggy at this point and does nothing except restrict your breathing. You can’t control an aerosolized virus. Life lesson: you can’t control most things in life.
@EpiEllie What about those who wear masks daily and inhale toxic chemicals, carcinogens? And it does nothing to protect them?
Phalates released in masks. Higher in toddlers

Every nation that has turned its back on Israel has either ceased to exist or became irrelevant.
Joe and his team don’t know that. Hang y’all.

This 5.8M is a made up number. Nobody knows how the authors came up with this estimate. It's not a study - it's an opinion by some LC researchers. Here's a good critique of their numbers... https://t.co/VuEeiWwdUs
Once upon a time, I thought it reasonable for public health to expect not to be contradicted. You know, *smoking is bad for you" and the like. But that idea was based on public health telling the truth about science. Post covid era, my trust they will do that is gone.
And the hits keep on coming. Someday soon, even American medical groups will be forced to admit that aggressively medically and surgically “affirming” a child’s body dysmorphic disorder is perhaps not the best course of action.
Top of @mssociety’s feed. Huge ratio. I hope their mgmt team is completely panicked.
They have engaged in a historic betrayal of the lifeblood of their org - they were built on the blood, sweat & tears of dedicated, older adult family caregivers like Fran Itkoff
They never should have played them at all. Stand on principle and forfeit every game when the opponent has a male on their team. Also, I don't understand the parents who are allowing their daughters to be subjected to this. Couldn't be me.
@ajlamesa And it harms - forever chemicals that disrupt everything from bone health, reproductive to causing preterm labor are released from disposable polite masks https://t.co/BcQ26Tuiit. And https://t.co/XHSxeWO67B
@mssociety You’re a racist organization. You care more about politics and pronouns of narcissists than doing the right thing. Would love to know the salaries of your administration.
Next Friday 2/23 at a @HdxAcademy Summit at Stanford, I will be talking (in person) about the repercussions of speaking out publicly about my covid research findings (I guess I've had 23 scientific publications on covid so far), specifically the repercussions of asking some of the most important epi questions of the day & publishing the findings in an honest, transparent way (w/amazing collaborators!)- as well as for expressing more or less mainstream Scandinavian views against prolonged closures of schools, youth sports, playgrounds, child masking, vaccines for kids (which DK eventually agreed w me was a mistake), booster mandates & the govt requiring physicians to recite certain narratives to their patients (ab-2098; Høeg v Newsom), etc.
I will be discussing how critical academic freedom is if our goals are truly unbiased scientific inquiry and improving (rather than worsening!) overall health. Our academic medical institutions are largely controlled by corporate interests & administrators who want to create the appearance of "doing everything right" even when these things have no clear benefits & can/have harmed their patients & employees. They also want their large donations from pharmaceutical companies even if that means rigorous research into pharma products' side effects isn't done and overall health declines while healthcare spending increases.
Long & short of it is, if you're in academic (or non-academic) medicine, it's your duty to stand up for your patients & the health of the public and not compromise your research findings/what you believe to be true to be accepted... irrespective of the consequences (as I like to say "just grow a backbone"). But if academic institutions care about protecting the scientific process and human health, it's also their duty to protect the scientists/physicians asking the tough questions and doing the high impact research even when the findings are inconvenient.
Join us next Friday if you are in the Bay Area. Lots of great scientists & speakers including my co-researchers, Ram Duriseti, @VPrasadMDMPH & @KevinBardosh

Exercise improves quality of life for people with long COVID
Not surprised at all. Probably going to bed at a good time, waking early, exercise and going to work all help. Advice grandma would give.

@erichhartmann They really don’t want you to know that toxic chemicals are released from masks. https://t.co/BcQ26Tuiit “the study found disposable masks &N95 masks, released 8 times the recommended
safety limit for toxic volatile organic compounds.” Phlates as well
