My journey as founder Sofe Group

For the past 6 +years, I have been building @sofegroup, and had several rough and challenging times. I made a whole lot of mistakes but one thing remains: I showed up after every setback with a resolve to build on my experience.

My drive is to build future Africa, and that picture is very clear in my mind. Yes, we're not there yet.

Fast forward to today, we have:

- reached out to over 7,000+ people across Africa and beyond
- Partnered with over 4+ global brands including @CoinWOfficial, @coinexcom, @XTexchange.
- Collaborated with several local partners
- hosted numerous bootcamps and AMA

We have so far built a thriving:

-  traders community; built with every trader in mind by traders passionate to build wealth.
- Incentive community; where our newly onboarded Sofians can earn their first crypto for free by engaging with airdrop, testnets, bounties etc
- Blockchain Career Expo (@B_CareerExpo) community; dedicated to scaling Africa's Tech manpower through training of Blockchain professionals (web2/Web3 Devs, PM, content creation, CM, Trading, Data Analysis and so on).
- Tertiary Chapters; we're building student communities across tertiary institutions in Africa and at the moment we have four growing communities in UNN, Delta Poly, Nekede Poly and Uni. of Jos and counting.

The journey is still a very long one from our roadmap.

I look forward to participating with industrial leaders to drive this vision to greater heights.

I believe we're still early on-chain.

@ZikCards @solflare For now, it's Claude and I am noticing it for the first time. Most platform just accept the card as long as the provided details match the card.

[Shedrack Ekpegbue | Sofe Node is Coming @Amazingsofe]

Once again the pain most Nigerians face everyday stared me in the face. It took me weeks looking for a platform to that I could use their virtual dollar card to subscribe to claude.

My first go-to place was definitely my @solflare card but it was under maintenance, I tried another platform I usually used for my hosting payment but because they provide US address for their card instead of allowing me to use my Nigerian address my @claudeai was banned. I had to submit an appeal and wait a few days for the restriction to be lifted.

A number of person recommended some platforms whose card fee and transaction fees seems like exploitation to me. I also tried the virtual cards on some major exchanges and of course, the feature is not available in my country.

It took a back and forth but the transaction went through with @getBusha.

The big question is: What if it was a medical bill or a life threatening situation that can't wait for weeks. What would have been my fate.

I want to extend my gratitude to @getBusha making their virtual card to be reliable and also to @De_governor00 for helping me out with support.

As a founder, my heart goes to every builder working hard to see that the tools critical to our development is sourced locally.

So proud my community @sofenode facilitated the biggest @getBusha campus invasion.

We have just made a one year commitment to building the next DEPIN and RWA at the Industrial Technology and Innovation Unit, African Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Power and Energy Development (ACE-SPED), University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Our major challenge in Africa is not the scarcity of talent but inaccessibility of the right tools to bring out the best outcome.

I will be sharing more updates here, on my journey to lead Africa's blockchain industrial adoption.

I believe that industrial adoption in DEPIN and RWA will lead mainstream blockchain adoption and I want to make sure that Africa is on that map when the time comes.

@CarlyDTishbite It's can't be over emphasized, the region with the best talent will get more resource allocation.

The risk of not scaling up academic institutions Blockchain sector is not intangible. It shows in the balance sheet.

Smart builders and investor take actions that are backed by data.

The crypto industry is contributing $55bn to the American economy while payment of salary alone is $31bn of that sum.

What this means is that American talent is bringing more money than the crypto businesses.

What this means is that if Africa can build world class web3 talent we can attract billions of dollars into our economy as well.

Education is the bridge to that we can use to catch up. That is why we're intentional about what we're building @sofenode.

To change the world, you just need one person to believe in what you believe to the death.

That one person is you. Make progress not excuses
