@Vitus_osst I also find it difficult to go for confession, I honestly don't know why but I do go to blessed sacrament and it feels better, I get in sync and then back to worry.

Let me agree that the Church is a public place only in the sense that it is open to all God’s people - rich or poor, young or old. But every public space still has standards: schools, airports, offices, even markets. How much more the house of God - a sacred place?

I agree that the Church is not the priest’s private property, but the priest is the shepherd and caretaker of the community’s sacred space. Part of his responsibility is to ensure that what happens within the Church reflects reverence and respect for God.

Dress code is not about condemnation or humiliation. It is about reverence. Just as we dress appropriately for a job interview, a court appearance, or an important event, Christians are invited to show respect in the place where the Eucharistic Lord is present.
