Ugandan and DRC Delegations Arrive in Kisumu for the Burial of Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga

Rt. Hon. Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, former Prime Minister of Uganda and Special Envoy of H.E. the President of the Republic of Uganda, has arrived in Kenya to attend the burial ceremony of the late former Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, in Siaya.
Dr. Rugunda is accompanied by Uganda’s Minister of State for Regional Cooperation, Hon. John Mulimba, and the country’s Defence Attaché, Brig. Gen. McDans Kamugira.

A delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), led by Minister of State for Industry, Aimé Boji Sangara, has also arrived in Kisumu to pay their respects and attend the ceremony.

Raila Odinga was a true champion of democracy. A child of independence, he endured decades of struggle and sacrifice for the broader cause of freedom and self-governance in Kenya. Time and again, I personally saw him put the interests of his country ahead of his own ambitions. Like few other leaders anywhere, he was willing to choose the path of peaceful reconciliation without compromising his core values. Through his life, Raila Odinga set an example not just for Kenyans, but across Africa and around the world. I know he will be missed. Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to his family and to the people of Kenya.

Safaricom states M-pesa is undergoing maintenance issues. Kenya is halfway stuck on sinking sand...could the portal & server be a security issue towards national consolidation of funds? Could the enemy notice cracks on the wall?! We need to have a candid national conversation!!
