As we celebrate #ChildrensDay and #Eid, let us not forget the children still held in captivity, separated from safety, freedom, and the love of their families.
While many children laugh, play, and celebrate today, others are still waiting to be rescued, heard, and brought home.

Oh désolé que tu ne comprennes pas l’arabe eh bien.
Sorry, my bad, you don’t understand French either.
Funny how many africans have this exact interaction every day trying to connect with each other.
One continent.
Too many language barriers/gap.

#REALTALK. Africa has the #youngest population in the world, yet youth influence in decision making is still inconsistent across most systems.
we keep scaling “youth inclusion” without scaling youth power.
those are not the same thing.
I’ve been thinking about how often “youth participation” is measured by presence, not influence. You can be in the room, speak on panels, even be consulted and still leave with nothing materially changed. We rarely interrogate that gap.Not loudly, anyway.

After receiving direct training from the @_AfricanUnion on Agenda 2063, our fellows carried The 2063 Project into schools and communities across Nigeria, reaching 160+ young people .
At Youth4Youth Africa we train youth. We trust them to lead. #AfricanUnion#youth4youthafrica
Only about 20% of participants at an Agenda 2063 awareness session led by one of our fellows at AFIT had prior knowledge of the Agenda. That gap is exactly why The 2063 Project exists to move Africa’s vision from policy spaces to young Africans themselves.
#Y4YA#Agenda2063
Do the leaders of today and tomorrow know Africa Agenda 2063? Following mentorship from the African Union, our fellow led The 2063 Project at a Primary School in Delta State, introducing young learners to Africa’s vision and their place in it.

We have officially expanded to the Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩, our 5th country since inception. the #drc pilot of Unfold Africa engaged 98 students in Goma on career guidance, academic alignment, and informed future choices.
One Africa. Shared purpose. Growing impact.
Week 8 of the Youth4Youth Africa Fellowship: our fellows were taken through the African Union, Agenda 2063, and Pan-Africanism by Aram Goliath of the AU. You cannot ask young Africans to shape the continent and keep them ignorant of its institutions, frameworks, and politics.
They cannot protect themselves from what they have never been taught. We trained 95 female students on Tech Gender-Based Violence.
Only 10 had ever heard of GBV.
None knew Tech GBV was a crime.
None knew how to report.
Awareness is protection. Action is necessary.

If you’re feeling stuck, searching for an opening, or in need of Allah’s help, then follow along with this du’a:
Ya Ghaniyy,
You are free of all need while I am always in need of You. Let me never beg from those as poor as me. Make me rich through contentment, and fill my heart with gratitude instead of grief.
Ya Hameed,
You are praised whether or not I remember to say it. Teach me to love You not just for what You give, but for who You are. Let my praise echo in hardship as it does in ease, and let every breath I take be a quiet, “Thank You.”
Ya Fattaah,
Open doors I cannot find and hearts that I cannot reach. Open paths to good where I only see walls, and open my chest to trust whatever You’ve decreed. Let every opening You grant me lead me back to You.
