In response to Hong Kong's political crackdown, I urge the European Parliament to halt the EU-China investment deal and EU to sanction China&HK officials who are responsible to the arrests.
#Retweet if you agree MEP should VETO the bill and EU should act.

1. The current political crackdown is not only limited to the winners of the 2020 Pro-Democracy Primary Elections, nor is it limited to the Resistance Camp formed after the Primaries. This is a large-scale liquidation involving 52 democrats across different political spectrums.
#JoshuaWong 13.5m in jail - via lawyers, “it’s not the end of the fight. Ahead of us is another challenging battleground. We’re now joining the battle in prison along with many brave protestors, less visible yet essential in the fight for democracy and freedom for HK.
My view on China in UNHRC:
"It's sarcastic that China of all people should be elected to the Human Rights Council,"
"Whether in Hong Kong, Tibet, Taiwan or when treating the Uyghurs - China is violating human rights everywhere“

Just happened tonight - Mad Dog Daily, owned by ex lawmaker Wong Yuk Man, got barred entry to police cordon even they are registered govt news system user for long time. Police revised general orders days ago to recognise only media registers in GNMIS https://t.co/BPENyXXOhq
I am deeply concerned about the arrest of Joshua Wong, another example of HK authorities targeting activists. Chinese and HK authorities must respect the rights and freedoms of the people of Hong Kong, as protected in the Joint Declaration.
#HongKongProtests:A 67 year old taxi driver, Cheung, parked his vehicle horizontally on the Nathan road, Mong Kok last year July 7.
Cheung was judged guilty in "Obstructing or resisting a police officer" and "Assaulting a police officer" today.
#HongKongers: Today our 12 brothers & sisters who tried to flee #HongKong & are now in jail in #China are much in my thoughts & prayers - as they have been every day since their ordeal began
So I wrote these characters, inspired by

"I don't even know whether he's alive or dead...I'm very anxious about his health as we're not allowed to reach out or send him medicine." Mother of one of the arrestees burst into tears as her son is among the 12 #HongKongers detained by Chinese authorities while trying to flee.
