Suppose we eliminated all government involvement in student loans?

Step 1: Enrollments at colleges across the country plummet. It's a huge "crisis."

Step 2: How lone before tuition costs come crashing down to earth?

Step 3: How long before academia decides they don't need 100 administrators for every teacher? How long before they turn into lean operations and start seriously leveraging AI?

Step 4: How long before classes and majors that are dead ends (nobody hiring) wither on the vine and die?

Seems to me this would be the best way to make academia great again.
