Maybe it’s because of my cardiac arrest, but I don’t understand why patients get upset when I say their symptoms are due to aging. 95% of what I diagnose is because we get old. I always bring it up as delicately as possible, but like do you know how lucky you are? I see patients in their 80s and think, “man I hope I get there one day.” So many things in this world can kill you. You’ve beaten the odds. Honestly, congratulations, you’re old.
I’m going to post this every time I see an accidental childhood death:
If everyone is watching, no one is watching.
Assign a watcher. Make it one person’s responsibility. Make it their responsibility to hand off that responsibility. Always.

Why is no one talking about this 🤯🤯. ANNEXA-S trial looking at use of andexanet alfa for pts on FXai prior to urgent surgery was silently stopped per manufacturer "due to the limited value as a single-arm study". Meanwhile with an n=10, we see 70% serious ADEs 👀👀
My pharmacist heart hates this syringe so much..
My two month old got his vaccines today and we were given a dosing chart for Tylenol. His dose = 2 mL..
I don’t expect anyone to be able to *accurately* pull up that dose using this syringe..
To all my people looking for PGY2 placement fearing that they won’t find a job in the specialty they want..
I sit here today as a pediatric EM pharmacist with only PGY1 training
PGY2 is not the end all. You will find your way❤️
