@Shannon02905950@BasedMikeLee@HHSGov Researchers are also working on using patient’s own stem cells to create islet cells that would not need immunosuppressants. That’ll make it worth it. Until then, I’m with you.
@KimballCall Missionaries testify of Jesus Christ and teach His gospel. They avoid confrontation, debate, arguments, and Bible bashing, and instead they focus on bringing others to Christ. God bless them! (I’m a proud mom of 3 currently serving.)
@carbonmfg@dustinharding Awesome! My daughter is going to French Polynesia on Aug 4. Interestingly, it’s a dual language mission. They learn both French and Tahitian while in the MTC, so she’s there for 7 weeks. Best wishes to your son! My husband served in Cebu, loved it!
@markonhiatus@dustinharding This isn’t exactly why there are more sisters than elders at the MTCs. More sisters in general are choosing to serve, plus the age being lowered last year has brought a dramatic increase in sisters receiving calls and their service is now beginning.
@dustinharding My daughter’s in Provo. Their Sunday evening devotional before checking in last month, President and Sister Owens said it is 70% sisters there right now. Wow!
@JS9511606021086 Interesting. I thought the word “of” was key. “Impart *of* your substance,” not *all* your substance. The latter seems to be what some people think should happen and begrudge The Church for having anything in store for “a rainy day.”
@GW_CVN73@USNavy Happy Anniversary, USS GW!
So glad you’re back with new content after all these years! I need your underway posts to keep tabs on my little bro!
@EODHappyCaptain Yeah, but $5 then is really about $70 today.
Okay, according to Grok it’s only about $43.
But still, maybe less of a ripoff than originally thought.
