when really

we often have too much to say
we just don’t trust every room with the real version of it

that’s why shallow conversations feel exhausting

it’s not because we think we’re better than anyone

it’s because pretending to connect feels even lonelier than being alone

and after a while

you stop asking
“why don’t people understand me?”

and start asking
“why do i keep shrinking myself just to be easier to digest?”

maybe introverts aren’t distant

maybe we’re just tired of living in a world that rewards performance more than depth
