@jelenawoehr I feel like “support person” is curb cut advice - check in with each other! Make sure everyone is hydrating, resting, taking cooling breaks. If “taking care of yourself” is the standard, everyone does better & vulnerable folks don’t feel bad for doing it too.

@SimonWDC Cynical me thinks native-born kids are ALSO going to miss high school and fill these jobs - eliminate reproductive health care and the result will be lots of poor BIPOC kids with desperate families. Increase the population, reduce the social safety net, profit.

I’ve worked really hard learning to listen to my body and rest when I need to. It’s a work in progress and I’m mostly fine with being some kind of disabled. But it’s so hard running into my limits when I really WANT to do the thing and I can’t. Especially for my kiddo.

@adhd_beans Start small. For me, it helps to find a workbook or something similar to use as a launching pad. Also, try a new hobby! You can totally weaponize your ADHD with novelty.

Checked FAT TALK out of the library. This book makes me want to highlight and notate the margins in a way I haven’t felt since college. Also I want to buy copies for all my parent friends. @v_solesmith I have so many feels.
