Summer Gunsight run seems even more narrow and steep when you haven't strapped any skis on in months and for the last 15 days you've been in Greece eating cheese and sipping wine. :-)
Happy New Year. With my leg injury I couldn't move around or find a "unique" spot to shoot pictures of the @AltaSkiArea torch parade. I only shot 7 shots or so, but a couple of them turned out quite cool! I wasn't skiing, but it was still great to be there.
If you plan to ski Alta Ski Area, grab my new Alta Guide app! Especially useful for for those unfamiliar with the ski runs and how to get to them! Also includes traffic, weather, local recommendations. #skiutah
NEW APP ALERT! After riding/hiking so many trails and seeing so many dog poo bags left around, I created a FREE app to help people remember to clean up after their dogs! Say hello to "No Poo Left Behind."
Built a landing page for my Alta Guide app. You can get the general details and scan QR codes for your platform to install the app. https://t.co/DYkJXZsGrp
I built an AI powered translation app for my recent trip to translate images from Greek to English for menus and signs, etc. Got it working in 24 hours! A month later after some polishing, it’s available in Google and Apple App stores! https://t.co/LgHZR0FftL
A new mobile app I've been working on over the winter has just been released in the Apple and Google app stores, "Alta Guide." The app is a digital guide for skiing Alta, with detailed run info, 3D maps, photos, run tracking and stats, weather, traffic conditions and more.
Recap of an amazing 2024-2025 ski season at @AltaSkiArea. Hard to pick out 2 minutes worth of clips with so many hours to choose from. Thankful to be able to share skiing with my friends at Alta, my ski buddies and my family. Looking forward to opening day 2025-26!
Imagine 90 seconds of beer‑fueled maniacs in psychedelic onesies and tutus blasting off in rapid succession on skinny ’70s wood‑lam skis—each rocking a porn‑stache, mullet, and disco sideburns. This. Is. Closing Day on 4/20 at @AltaSkiArea
Goal: Get in some killer skiing in the 45 minutes before the lifts stop spinning. Managed some nice cowboy powder and sloppy seconds. Not bad for mid April!
✅ Baldy Shoulder Hike
✅ Stone Crusher
✅ High Boy
Near disaster at the top of Little Chute Sunday. The video doesn't translate how steep and rocky it is at the top. A skier enters above his friends and nearly has a consequential fall which would have taken out at least 3 people.
Shark hunting on a couple of lines on Mount Baldy at @AltaSkiArea Sunday. East Ballroom, or maybe Lower Perla's. Hadn't done them before. Rocky. I can see why not a lot of people ski them. Despite a little damage to my favorite skis, it was still worth it. Here's the first one.
Second new line I skied this past weekend on Mount Baldy @AltaSkiArea. Struck a pretty big rock quite hard entering the rock garden and didn't eat 💩, so I've got that going for me... which is nice. Fun to try new lines though. Not too much ski damage.
✅ 1st Chute
I've NEVER seen anyone ski 1st Chute on Mount Baldy at @AltaSkiArea. Yesterday I skied. I knew the snow would be crusty and not good, but it wasn't about quality skiing. It was about getting that item checked off the ski bucket list. Quite entertaining.
Been a couple of days since the last storm, so had to crack open a secret stash. Outstanding spring day at @AltaSkiArea. Tomorrow's going to be really warm. I think I know what's on the menu. Gulp. 😅
