Always been wild to see (most?) other MMOs locking you into a specific region/server meanwhile OSRS is just like "Yeah pick whichever one of these you feel like in the moment I guess"
This tweet making me realise something us Brits have been subconsciously(?) doing our whole lives.
Every single person I've met with one will call it that instead of "car", same applies to Jeeps now that I think about it?
Wonder if there's some old marketing that caused it 🤔
it is pretty funny how often james bond characters say “Land Rover.”
Greenway you don’t need to say, “I’ll go get the Land Rover.” you can just call it a car.
not a complain, to be clear. it’s funny and fun
@RSchi_pa_pa Was really useful for troubleshooting, wouldn't have even known it was a GPU-side encoder issue in the first place without looking at this stuff.
Downside though, it ended up with me spending way more on the 5070ti instead of the 5070 so... :')
The GPU upgrade was in fact worth it, 5070ti encoder can handle so much more.
1080p/60 stream, higher bitrate local recording & upped it to a 1080p/60 discord screenshare for the commentators with plenty of power left over...
All I have to do is ignore the financial damage 🙃
... I might actually need to get a GPU upgrade just for these online tourney streams 🙃
RTX 3070 encoder's almost maxed out with:
1080p/60 stream
1080p/60 local recording (at a higher bitrate for YT VODs + split audio tracks)
720p/60 screenshare to commentators over Discord
@WhiteDecay Easily, though the games I stream are normally 1080p so there ain't much to be gained outside of a bit more clarity (though it might help the YT side of things I guess if I ever end up dual streaming 🤔)
@JayzTwoCents Bet those people also ignore the potential of getting one of the nicer ones second-hand for cheap too, seen some insane deals on ebay and similar in recent months.
Bit of extra research (and maybe nagging the seller) to make sure the essentials are there but surprisingly viable.
🦎 Me: Hey guys, let's pause for a moment. I just want to thank our sponsor for this stream-

Straight up forgot to post anything because of how hectic things ended up being, did the main stream for Albion Arena over the weekend!
Amazing event, annoying tech issues & the too-hot weather aside. Nice to see a lot of people in person for the first time in ages as well!
COMPLETELY unrelated to any current events, this is a friendly reminder that @OBSProject is largely volunteer driven with only 4 full-time staff.
Most people don't even know they can support OBS directly 😶🌫️

Official Update:
We’re in positive discussions with potential acquirers and working to find the best path forward for creators, customers, and our team.
We’ll share more updates soon.
We’ve spent over a decade building for creators and will do everything we can to keep supporting this community.
True honestly.
Though if it's anything like my getting paid for event streaming most TOs will end up using whatever they earn (or more than they earn) from TOing to buy more monitors/setups or other things to improve the event experience for everyone else...
Hard pill to swallow: TOs SHOULD make money
It's so fascinating how in the 10 years I've been TOing, there has been no change to this culture of expected sacrifice. In fact, I feel it's gotten worse
People being compensated for their time/effort does not take away the passion
Theoretical, but a legal challenge to Nintendo's "We don't allow events featuring character bans(/mods?)" pushiness would be funny.
No real care for the outcome either way but it would be interesting to follow, if only to find out the final lawyer costs on both sides :')
@Kirinodere Brave design from Apple, redefining colour itself.
Not sure if it's more or less concerning that I had no clue what the game was until zooming and seeing the title, are gachas just all Like That these days UI-wise?
