નાગરિકોના આરોગ્ય અને ખાદ્ય સુરક્ષાને પ્રાથમિકતા આપતાં AMCના હેલ્થ ફૂડ વિભાગ દ્વારા હીરાવાડી વિસ્તારમાં લોલીપોપનું ઉત્પાદન કરતા એકમની તપાસ હાથ ધરવામાં આવી હતી.
તપાસ દરમિયાન યોગ્ય મેન્યુફેક્ચરિંગ લાયસન્સનો અભાવ, અસ્વચ્છતા, કામદારો દ્વારા કેપ-એપ્રન-ગ્લોવ્ઝનો ઉપયોગ ન કરવો સહિતની ખામીઓ સામે આવી હતી. જાહેર આરોગ્યના હિતમાં એકમને તાત્કાલિક સીલ કરી ₹4.50 લાખની કિંમતનો 1,500 કિલો લોલીપોપનો જથ્થો વેચાણ માટે સ્થગિત કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.
ખાદ્ય સુરક્ષાના નિયમોનું પાલન સુનિશ્ચિત કરવા AMC દ્વારા શહેરના ખાદ્ય એકમોનું સઘન ચેકિંગ ચાલુ રહેશે.

અમદાવાદ શહેરના મધ્ય ઝોનમાં આવેલા ઐતિહાસિક અસારવા બ્રિજ ના સ્થાને આધુનિક 4-લેન રેલવે ઓવરબ્રિજ બનાવવાની કામગીરી પ્રગતિમાં છે.

વર્ષ 1940માં બનેલા જૂના બ્રિજનું રેલ્વે પોર્શનનો લાઈફ સ્પાન પૂર્ણ થઈ ગયેલ હોઈ સદર બ્રીજ રી-કન્સ્ટ્રક્શન જરૂરી બનતાં AMC દ્વારા અસારવા, સિવિલ અને ઈદગાહ તરફના મહત્વપૂર્ણ જોડાણને વધુ સુવિધાજનક બનાવવા નવા બ્રિજની કામગીરી હાથ ધરવામાં આવી છે.
હાલ ફાઉન્ડેશન અને સબસ્ટ્રક્ચરની કામગીરી પૂર્ણ થઈ છે તેમજ અસારવા તરફ સુપર સ્ટ્રક્ચરમાં સ્પાનના ગર્ડર લોન્ચિંગની કામગીરી પ્રગતિમાં છે. સમગ્ર પ્રોજેક્ટની ફિઝિકલ પ્રગતિ 31% જેટલી થઈ છે અને બ્રિજને નવેમ્બર 2027 સુધીમાં પૂર્ણ કરવાનું આયોજન છે.

11 ઓગસ્ટના બદલે હવે 12 ઓગસ્ટે ભવ્ય તિરંગા યાત્રા યોજાશે. યાત્રાનો રૂટ યથાવત્ રહેશે.

આજે માન. મેયર શ્રી હિતેશભાઈ બારોટ દ્વારા યાત્રાના રૂટની મુલાકાત લઈ વ્યવસ્થાઓનું નિરીક્ષણ કરવામાં આવ્યું.
