Today is my birthday. For my birthday I want people to recommend to me the best nonfiction book they’ve ever read. I’m going to fill up my Goodreads queue. Could be the most fun, life-changing, informative, whatever.
How to make perfect BONE BROTH in a pressure cooker!
Use at least 3-4 pounds of bones, which can be a variety of:
-Marrow bones
-Knuckle bones
-Oxtail
-Beef shank
-Chicken necks/backs
-Chicken feet
Start by blanching your bones, which will clean them. Add to a pot of cold water, then bring to a boil. Boil for 15 minutes, then drain.
Roast the bones for 15-20 minutes at 450 degrees, to develop some nice color (this is optional, but does add a nice flavor).
For aromatics, you can use any combination of the following:
Onions (with the skin on)
Carrots
Celery
Leeks
Parsley
Bay leaves (dried or fresh)
Garlic
Peppercorns
Mushrooms (any kind works, but I like lions mane for their brain-boosting properties)
Rosemary (or any fresh herbs, also has brain boosting properties)
Ginger
Turmeric (be careful with this, the fat will turn neon yellow and stains very easily)
Kombu (is a type of kelp and is an amazing source of iodine!)
Astragalus
Add everything to a pressure cooker, and cover with water (be careful not to put too much water), and 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar.
Pressure cook on high for at least 2 hours, closer to 3-4 is ideal.
Strain the broth, and put into mason jars. Salt before enjoying!
This makes a very gelatinous broth and only takes a fraction of the time that doing it on the stove takes.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Yes, actually. These were identified by a counter-terror programme — C.S. Lewis was also on the list.

Need some uplifting movies to download for a long flight. In: laughter, faith, a great ending. Out: scary, dark, depressing. Also love a good documentary.
Whatcha got for me? Thanks in advance 😉
