We had the opportunity to talk with @bretmichaels again last night and personally thank him for sending Kyle to Diabetes Camp! Kyle also wrote him a letter and was able to actually hand it to Bret. Such an AMAZING NIGHT! It was back to Diabetes Camp first thing this morning! :)

Even a rainy day can't take away his HUGE smile! HE'S OFF TO CAMP! Kyle asked me a few minutes if @bretmichaels actually knows that he's heading to camp today! According to what I have heard.... HE DOES!! I think it made Kyle's smile even BIGGER! We are TYPE 1 STRONG FOREVER!

@MariahRockNC9 @newschannelnine @bretmichaels Mariah, thank you for coming to our house today to hear Kyle's story! I noticed in your headline that it says "Kyle has Type 2 Diabetes". He has Type 1 Diabetes, which is an autoimmune disease. He and Bret Michaels both have Type 1 Diabetes. :)
