This woman is named Lulu Freistadt, and she is the co-founder and executive director of the "Smart Elections" organization. She stated that she has been serving as a poll watcher in New York City since 2021.
Event Details:
She mentioned that yesterday (during voting), she was working as a supervisor at a polling site in the Bronx, New York.
Initially, everything was normal, with the number of voters matching the number of scanned ballots, and she was preparing to leave.
But then she noticed something extremely strange: all the poll workers were counting and preparing to leave, yet the voting machines were still on, unlocked, unsealed, and the ballots had not yet been removed.
According to standard procedure, each voting machine should be shut down, sealed, and have its ballots removed by designated poll workers. But the machines and ballots on site were completely unsealed.
Confrontation and Conflict:
When she sat down to wait for the staff to handle the ballots as required, the coordinator began to get visibly agitated and called the deputy chief clerk. The person on the phone told her she had to leave.
She pointed out that, per regulations, poll watchers have the right to remain on site until voting concludes, the ballots are removed, and placed into sealed containers.
Despite her reasoned arguments, the staff and police still demanded that she leave, leaving only one technician to shut down the voting machines without any oversight.
Conclusion: She emphasized that this non-compliant practice creates an opportunity for cheating and called on everyone to pay attention and share this forward.
