Big news. After 12 years, I am leaving The Heartland Institute.

When I first arrived at Heartland as an intern, I never dreamed that I would eventually become the Institute’s vice president of policy or have the opportunity to accomplish so much.

During my time at Heartland, I published more than 1,000 articles, appeared on radio and television more than 400 times, coauthored multiple New York Times bestselling books with @GlennBeck, helped build and lead the movements opposing the Great Reset and ESG, founded and directed a public policy center, and authored dozens of national surveys with Rasmussen Reports. (One of those surveys was described by President Donald Trump as “the most important poll released in the past 20 years.")

My work was featured by The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, members of Congress, many of the biggest names in media, and even the White House.

Although I am deeply saddened that my time at Heartland has come to an end, I will always be grateful for the wonderful colleagues and friends I have made at the Institute. Their encouragement, friendship, and support made so much of my work possible. I will carry those relationships and countless memories with me for the rest of my life.

So, what comes next?

After many years of working in the free-market and pro-liberty movement, I am very happy to announce that I have launched a new public policy organization called Our Republic.

Our Republic will focus primarily on the newest and most consequential issues threatening freedom in America, especially those involving emerging technologies, rapidly changing economic systems, and powerful global institutions.

Many think tanks understandably devote most of their attention to policy debates that have existed for decades. Our Republic has a different primary mission: identifying the emerging threats and opportunities that could shape America’s future before they become widely understood.

We will conduct groundbreaking research, uncover important developments that have received little public attention, and give everyday Americans, journalists, and lawmakers the information they need to understand the forces transforming our country. We will continue addressing longstanding policy issues of great importance, but our central focus will be the challenges that are rapidly approaching and that most Americans have never heard about.

My time at Heartland may be ending, but my work defending freedom is entering an exciting new chapter. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me over the past 12 years, and I hope you will join me in what comes next.

will have been married 27 years this year
We have 4 amazing kids
All but one are grown adults now
We have:
Trust
Faith
Love
NO dumb pronouns
No worries about being politically correct
Our flags are the Texas flag and the American flag
We have always put our family first
We raised our kids to have strong morals, stand up for what’s right, and have kind hearts
We work hard, go to church, care about our community, and help those who are in need.

THIS is what should be celebrated!! Especially in times like these!
