I had a really hard time drawing them. I wasn't sure how exactly to capture the vibrancy of the purple finch with my more simplistic style. That's why I ended up referencing a lot of MCM. I would say I prefer the style of the robin as well. I need to figure out a way to add some more detail and color.

So what are you guys think about the purple finch that I dropped this morning? I'm trying to figure out whether I like that style or whether I should continue forward with the American robin look. Would love some feedback.

The Purple Finch is the official state bird of New Hampshire, it got that title in 1957. Just an amazing looking bird!
