Americans need to drop this idea that we owe allegiance to our institutions. When they stop working for us they are purposeless. The English didn’t cease to exist when they went from a monarch to parliament, from feudal to mercantile. A nation can’t survive total replacement.

@DanBell @ChristianHeiens Nothing at all, politicians are essentially saying “if you vote for us republicans we will attempt to slow down how hard we fuck you over in the short term” the right is too reactionary, we need to be make demands for future policies not just begging for them to undo past ones.

@DanBell @ChristianHeiens While I agree for the most part two things would happen, the cost wouldn’t disappear it would just be transferred to their children or they would have to work another decade. Secondly older generations will never vote for it because they had to pay in, so it’ll never happen.

@DrMethos @ChristianHeiens The issue is that our economy today is based on consumerism, so if a large chunk of the population dies out there are fewer customers. Businesses will just downscale or close to match the smaller demand they will need less workers to create less products Still wouldn’t hurt tho🤷🏻‍♂️
