La variables climáticas estacionales El Niño y La Niña no son nada nuevas. Desde 1950 hasta la actualidad, por ejemplo, se han producido 27 episodios de cada una. Y tampoco sería la primera vez que tendríamos alguno de estos eventos en intensidades fuertes a muy fuertes. Entre 1982-83, 1997-98 y 2015-16, tuvimos fenómenos El Niño muy fuertes como el que posiblemente tendríamos este año y esa intensidad se pudiera alcanzar es en el último trimestre de este año.

El Centro de Predicciones Climáticas de la NOAA ha señalado en su informe de la semana pasada, que aún hay incertidumbre en las intensidades que este fenómeno lograría alcanzar. Tampoco es válido señalar que tendremos un "Súper Niño" o un "Niño Godzilla"; estos términos no existen en el estándar establecido por la Organización Meteorológica Mundial, que indica una escala que va desde leve a moderado, fuerte y muy fuerte.

Recomiendo seguir la información emitida por cuentas oficiales como la OMM, CPC/NOAA, CIIFEN, Servicios Meteorológicos Nacionales, agencias especializadas y profesionales especialistas en el tema.

Once again, we're seeing payment x RWA infrastructure shining on Stellar.

During Meridian 2024 last year, we saw some huge announcements on stage.

From partnering with entities like Paxos, Mastercard & Stripe, to being announced as tokenization infrastructure by WisdomTree & more.

Well, it seems Meridian 2025 has topped off what 2024 had brought us last year!

As we didn't just see partnerships announced this time

We saw stablecoin integration and RWA deployment.

Looking at the numbers, there are now two stablecoins that have been added to Stellar.

Ondo's USDY & PayPal's PYUSD.

While these were formerly announced in the pipelines, Meridian put it into action and launched these stablecoins on Stellar at the largest stage.

And then there's the tokenization side...

We saw entities from Centrifuge, Redswan CRE & Mercado Bitcoin all announce tokenization on Stellar.

The most exciting thing here is that the 3 of them each touch on different parts of RWAs.

Centrifuge is bringing a new deRWA product to Stellar backed & anchored by a $20 Mil investment.

Redswan CRE is looking to bring $100 Mil of commercial real estate onto Stellar.

And then Mercado Bitcoin, the leading LATAM regulated crypto exchange is bringing $200 Mil of RWAs to Stellar.

Altogether the 3 of them are bringing ~$320 Mil to the ecosystem.
