My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.

Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.

He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.

I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.

He is a true hero.

Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.

Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.

Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.

कोविड से पहले प्रतापगढ़ से लखनऊ के बीच पैसेंजर शटल सेवा संचालित होती थी, जो प्रतापगढ़ से लखनऊ आती-जाती थी। कोविड के बाद यह सेवा बंद हो गई। उसी सेवा की भरपाई के लिए प्रयागराज संगम से उत्‍रेठिया/लखनऊ के बीच नई MEMU या इंटरसिटी ट्रेन शुरू की जाए|

रेलवे प्रशासन द्वारा ट्रेन संख्या 14109/14110 कानपुर सेंट्रल–चित्रकूट धाम करवी एक्सप्रेस एवं ट्रेन संख्या 14123/14124 माँ बेल्हा देवी धाम प्रतापगढ़–कानपुर एक्सप्रेस के विलय को स्वीकृति प्रदान की गई है। इसके तहत अब ट्रेन संख्या 14123/14124 माँ बेल्हा देवी धाम प्रतापगढ़–चित्रकूट धाम करवी एक्सप्रेस का प्रतिदिन संचालन किया जाएगा एवं इस ट्रेन का मानक नगर (MKG) में अतिरिक्त ठहराव भी प्रदान किया गया है।
