I wanna nip this in the bud early because there is no “problem” with me or my business, we’re doing WONDERFUL 😂 I’m responding because you were in my comments and now you’re making whole tweets about my business. Just because you think something is cute but it’s outside of what YOU want to spend does not mean I’m doing something wrong. I hate to break it to y’all but there are people out here who actually get fly, take pictures, go places, have stuff and spend money on clothes. People absolutely buy $75 shirts 😭 they having motion! If you want a $20 shirt, go find you a $20 shirt bro. It’s plenty of them. Every brand does not have to adjust its prices until everybody can afford it. You simply may not be the consumer, and that’s okay.
I think it’s a bigger conversation about how Black entrepreneurs are judged differently. My prices are not high compared to what’s already on the market, especially for what I’m building. I’m paying models, photographers, investing in dope visuals, campaigns, production all the things it takes to build a real brand. People actually buy TERMS, wear it, post it, and genuinely see themselves in it. It’s even starting to build its own audience outside of me, which is the whole goal. At some point y’all have to allow Black people to build brands with value without immediately questioning why it isn’t cheap.
Considering it screen time or not, it certainly doesn’t warrant this type of reaction. Twitter men have such strong words to say ab women they do not know all the time. It’s like a kink for them.
