And then getting angry when they realize they can't shop around for better deals and they're forced to pay Sonys price in their store.

@GamesNosh I feel like what's likey to happen is that the PS6 is entirely digital. But Sony doesn't change how digital games are sold/bought. So people are forced to buy games through PSN only.
So they'll be forced to buy at whatever price Sony has at that moment. Could be $70, could be $30

Physical discs aren't without problems. They can be damaged and not play, and current games can be too big for a disc and need additional digital downloads. But I'd still rather take my chances with physical media vs. digital only.

Digital only anything is incredibly shortsighted and honestly just stupid.

Barnes & Noble released the Nook back in 2009. Think Kindle/Fire Tablet for books only. My mom worked there and helped teach customers how to use em, so we had a few laying around after a while.

If Sony is removing physical discs, and they've stopped allowing retailers to sell codes for digital games, what do you do? I guess go fuck myself and buy straight from Sony, or buy a whole ass new console if I want to have options on how I purchase a game.

Keep in mind, Sony is facing/has faced multiple lawsuits in multiple countries involving their digital store.

They're arguing they're not a monopoly because games are "available to buy via physical retailers, and via digital Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation and PC stores."
