Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a serious notice of the reports of an unsanctioned and unapproved T20 cricket tournament scheduled to take place in Rawalpindi.
The said tournament did not obtain a NOC from the PCB as is the practice for all such private cricket events. The players or officials who need to refrain from being involved in it comprise of centrally, domestically contracted or those registered with any of the cricket clubs.
On the tour, Pakistan will also feature in three T20Is, which will be staged on 31 July, 2 August and 4 August. Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka womenโs teams are currently in the UK to take part in the ICC Womenโs T20 World Cup, which begins on 12 June.
The three ODIs, scheduled to take place on 23, 25 and 28 July are part of the ICC Womenโs Championship 2025-29. Pakistan are currently occupying second place in the Womenโs Championship standings, having won four of their six matches so far and earned eight points.
Pakistan womenโs team will tour Sri Lanka for a six-match white-ball series scheduled to take place in Hambantota later next month. All six matches of the series will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium.
15-member Menโs squad announced for Asian Games
Sahibzada Farhan will lead the Pakistan Menโs Team in the Asian Games 2026, set to take place in Aichi-Nagoya in Japan from 19 September to 4 October. The 10-team Menโs T20I event will be played at Korogi Athletic Park in Aichi
Opening batters Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub will not be available for selection for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the Australia national cricket team, scheduled to begin on 30 May during Australiaโs tour of Pakistan.
PCB has announced that both players are currently recovering from injuries and have been advised to continue their rehabilitation programmes under the supervision of the PCB medical panel. Consequently, they have been ruled out of selection for the ODI series.
