🌿 The UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination 2025 results brought attention not only to toppers - but also to a remarkable story of mentorship led by senior IPS officer Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat.
Out of 148 candidates recommended this year, 84 candidates were mentored by him through a completely free guidance initiative focused on interview preparation and personality development.
📊 What makes this effort extraordinary is its consistency.
For three consecutive years (2023, 2024, and 2025), candidates mentored by him have secured All India Rank 1.
🏆 AIR 1 (2025): Basavaraj Dhareppa Kempawad
🥈 AIR 2: Anshuman Kumar Singh
🥉 AIR 3: Siddharth
📌 In 2023, the topper was Ritvika Pandey, and in 2024, it was Kanika Anabh.
Currently serving as DGP Law and Order in Telangana, Mr. Bhagwat has managed to balance high-responsibility policing duties with sustained, voluntary mentorship of UPSC aspirants—without charging any fee.
His guidance has supported candidates across IAS, IPS, and IFS selections, making his impact visible far beyond numbers.
✨ In a system defined by intense competition, his contribution stands out as service beyond duty—quietly shaping the next generation of India’s civil servants.

3/5: Anudeep Durishetty, who topped the UPSC in 2017, said the “real fulfilment” came from solving people’s problems. Mona Pruthi, who came first in 2005, swears by the principles of “Niyam, Niyati, and Nitya”, and for Subham Kumar, “meaningful service is often quiet and unseen.”
Israel related important boundary demarcations
Blue Line
•Demarcation line between Israel and Lebanon.
•Established by the United Nations in 2000 after Israel withdrew from southern Lebanon.
Green Line
•1949 Armistice Line between Israel and the West Bank (Palestinian territories).
•Also separates Israel from Jordan (West Bank side) and historically from Egypt (Gaza side) after the 1948 Arab–Israeli war.
Yellow Line (Gaza)
•A temporary demarcation/security line in the Gaza Strip.
•Proposed in 2024 ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, mediated by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar.
•It refers to a buffer/control line inside Gaza to regulate Israeli troop deployment and withdrawal during the ceasefire phases.
•Not an internationally recognized boundary like the Green Line or Blue Line.
Blue Line → Israel–Lebanon (UN, 2000)
Green Line → Israel–West Bank / Gaza armistice line (1949)
Yellow Line → Temporary Gaza ceasefire demarcation line (2024 negotiations).
