The Hadith states that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) placed a green twig on the graves of two people.

Ibn Abbas narrates: The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) once passed by two graves, and those two persons (in the graves) were being tortured. He said, "They are being tortured not for a great thing (to avoid). One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other was going about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends). He then took a green twig of a date palm tree split it into two pieces and fixed one on each grave. The people said, "O Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)! Why have you done so?" He replied, "I hope that their punishment may be lessened till they (the leaf) become dry." (Bukhari-1361)

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) did this to lessen the punishment of those in the graves.

It is advisable that one make Dua or Isaal al-Thawaab (perform a virtuous act) on behalf of the deceased and ask Allah Ta'ala to send the reward to them. This will be more rewarding and beneficial for the deceased than merely placing a plant or twig on the grave.

Don’t remove or uproot the naturally grown plants or grass on the graves, as long as the plants are still alive.

Today, I saw a Palestinian child picking up the brain of another Palestinian child.

Yes the actual brain.

He used a small rag to pick it up.

I also saw an infant ejected from his mother’s womb, due to the sheer power of the explosives Israel used in Gaza last night.

But the most inhumane thing was witnessing someone open up a baby’s soft pink onesie - only to discover pieces of bones and diaper inside.

Israel evaporated her little body with chemical weapons that are internationally banned.
