Why are Florida HS athletes still not permitted to sign #NIL deals?
2 years ago, a Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) survey indicated a majority of schools were against NIL at the HS level.
School Athletic Directors were concerned that competitors would use NIL to "steal" their athletes.
This is such a lame reason to restrict athletes' rights.
Also, with 30+ jurisdictions now allowing HS athletes to sign deals, should those Athletic Directors be concerned that their most talented athletes will consider leaving the state?
It's time for change.
