The complex housing the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is rich with 5,000 years of recorded and unrecorded history. In Giza, which is on the outskirts of the Capital City of Cairo, we can primarily see three huge pyramids - the first is by King Khufu, the second one is by King Khafre, and the relatively smaller one by King Menkaure.
King Khufu constructed three more pyramids adjacent to his own - for his wife, his mother, and his daughter respectively. Egyptologists contend that there are around 118 to 125 smaller pyramids in area adjacent to the Great Pyramids.
King Khufu was instrumental in developing the legendary Egyptian mechanism to preserve people’s bodies after death. The massive nature of each of the pyramids proves that the ancient Egyptian kings had enough resources and wealth. King Khufu’s son King Khafre’s pyramid is the second biggest in size. During his 23-year-long rule, he not only constructed his own pyramid but also the Great Sphinx. His son King Menkaure constructed the last giant pyramid. King Menkaure was spiritual in nature and modelled himself as the son of the Sun God ‘Ra.’ He, thus, constructed a temple for worshipping the Sun God, which is bigger than his own pyramid. He died leaving his pyramid unfinished that was eventually completed by his son Shepseskaf.

After waiting in the queue at Bengaluru GPO for 4 hours today, I collected my copy of the Karnataka Philately Passport. They released only 1000 copies for #Bengaluru and the stock was over by noon.
There was a huge crowd and now there is too much of discussions ongoing across multiple media platforms. However, I am lucky to have my copy ❤️📘🥰

After a full-day tour across the length and breadth of Budapest, all that my body was asking for was ‘food, food, and only food.’ But I wanted to have Goulash, the very authentic Hungarian cuisine. While on the way to a local eatery, I captured this video showcasing the beautiful Budapest lanes with vibrant graffitis across the visible walls. Do have a look.
And yes, the Chicken Goulash 🥘 with loaf 🍞 was simply amazing!

@Uber I booked for 3 hours premium rental but the trip ended in 1 hour claiming 3 hours of charges. This is absolute cheating.

@UberIN_Support Here is the screenshot of the reply that you sent. Really ridiculous!
I booked for 3 hours rental. Your system automatically converts it into 1 hour rental and charges the rest of the money.
Seriously. I have nothing to say.

The Hungarian Parliament building is one of the iconic buildings of the country. The inside walls studded with gold shows a legacy of medieval art and grandeur. The building is situated on the Pest side of the capital city of Budapest along the bank of the Danube River. The building was designed in Neo-Gothic style by the Hungarian architect Imre Steindl. The construction of the building started in 1885 and was completed in 1904.
This unicameral parliament has 199 members and they are elected once in every four years.

‘Vienna State Opera’ is a historically significant landmark in the breathtakingly beautiful city of Vienna. While its construction commenced in 1861, the building was ready for usage in 1869. With 1,709 seats, it is considered as a major monument showcasing the ‘Renessance Revival’ style of decorative architecture.

The Buda Castle District covers a large stretch of heritage land and is located next to the strategically significant River Danube in Budapest. This amazingly beautiful complex also houses the renowned Fisherman’s Bastion, the historically important St. Michael’s Chapel, and the bronze statue of St. Stephen, the first ruler of Hungary. Being inside the Carpathian Basin, there are multiple ghostly legends across the length and breadth of this intriguing space. Mind you, Count Drakula was also imagined to have lived in the Carpathian Basin itself (read Jules Verne’s ‘The Carpathian Castle’ and Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’).

@BasuAshis I am enjoying every bit of the moment here Sir. I could feel that freedom on air. And there is so much of history in every nook and corner of this city.
While searching for budget friendly restaurants for lunch in Budapest today, we pretty much ended up exploring the city on foot. We wanted to have Goulash, probably the most well-known traditional Hungarian dish. During our decidedly amateurish ‘culinary quest,’ I was pleasantly surprised to see that Wall Art or Graffiti is an intrinsic part of the city’s culture. Oh yes, we did manage to finally find the coveted restaurant by the name of ‘Retro Goulash House’ and savoured the meaty broth to our heart’s content. Really loved every bit of both the walk and the food today!
