I can see why most Clancy jurors wanted to find her insane.

Massachussets law says (IANAL) that the prosecution has to prove that the defendant is sane (I asked Grok). A doctor and the husband says that she was not sane (see clip).

The problem is not with the jurors. The problem is with the law.

FWIW, I don't think Iran caused all the recent oil price increases. Ukrainian drones have hurt Russian production so badly, they are now a net importer.

I know it sucks. But the worst thing we can do is let gas prices spook us into allowing the evil men ruling Moscow and Tehran survive.

If the front lines are dominated by drones, a lot of those needs disappear. Drones don't need all that gas, tank repair facilities, or doctors.

I foresee a no-man's-land between the warring parties; wide enough for defenders to detect and defeat attscking drones. Unless one side has a large technical advantage.

I like the idea that the users of a government service pay for that government service. Electric vehicles use roads that are currently paid for with funds that include gas taxes. Shifting to a mileage tax would shift the tax burden to actual road users.

I didn't mean to suggest that I support a net increase in taxes.
