Representing @bitcoincojp at @MACHINASUMMIT and @RaiseSummit this week.
MACHINA was one of the highest-quality conferences I’ve attended. Outstanding founders, serious investors and real companies building the future. Great to meet teams from @Apptronik, @1X, @SkildAI, @BostonDynamics and many more.
One takeaway:
Physical AI has moved from science fiction to capital allocation.
Billions are flowing into humanoids, embodied AI and robotics. The pace of progress is accelerating as better foundation models, cheaper compute and world-class engineering converge.
The race is often framed as US vs China.
I think that’s too simplistic.
There is a major opportunity for Japan and Europe to become the bridge—through precision manufacturing, critical components, industrial deployment and global partnerships.
The winners won’t just build the best robot.
They’ll build the ecosystem that puts millions of robots to work.

Public-markets capital is starting to underwrite the Physical AI thesis directly. @BitcoinJP_ is a Tokyo-listed vehicle doing exactly that, with Figure AI, SpaceX, and pre-IPO frontier model labs already in the portfolio.
We are pleased to welcome Phillip Lord, CEO of Bitcoin Japan, to the MACHINA Summit stage.
Bitcoin Japan Corporation is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE:8105) and structured as a Japanese public vehicle for institutional exposure to AI infrastructure and digital assets. Phillip runs the business under a barbell investment thesis: Bitcoin and digital assets on one side, AI infrastructure on the other, executed with the governance and custody discipline required of an institutional platform.
Previously President of Bakkt International, he brings more than a decade of digital assets experience and has already deployed capital into the frontier of Physical AI, with pre-IPO positions in Figure AI (humanoid robotics) and SpaceX, alongside active tracking of Anthropic and OpenAI. His public commentary spans the coming intersection of AI agents and programmable money, rare earth mineral supply chains (China's 80% dominance and Japan's exposure), and the compute-and-energy infrastructure required to scale the next phase of applied intelligence.
At MACHINA, Phillip will discuss the capital-markets thesis behind Physical AI: where public capital is flowing, how institutional discipline reshapes underwriting, and what the intersection of AI agents, hardware supply chains, and digital infrastructure looks like from a Tokyo-listed platform.

The robotic hand is becoming one of the most important pieces of the AI stack.
Intelligence is only valuable if a robot can manipulate the physical world.
The winners won’t just build humanoids—they’ll build the hands that power an entire industry.
Companies like Figure, Tesla, Sanctuary AI, 1X and WIRobotics are setting the pace, but this race is only just beginning.
The next trillion-dollar platform may be built one finger at a time.
