@hamlet1942@doremyswt@moianii harder to recognise from the way his arms bent/straight, but his left shoulder is still pulled back and right shoulder is forward, still in opposite motion to his legs.
@imjustagirl_R@moianii it's not, you use the opposite are to the leg when running/walking/jumping, it's a counter balance thing. that said, the hate OP is getting for this is wildddddd. like damn it's not that deep people...
@Dysputant2@hexfulz it would be hard enough even if you *have* seen a character's shape before, and that's with years of memory and visual pattern recognition to help you.
@Dysputant2@hexfulz not really, there's a reason braille uses dots. imagine having never had sight so no visual reference on shapes, now imagine how easy recognising the alignment of a few regularly spaced dots is vs trying to work out a complex letter, even more so a chinese character.
@ha8_la@gardenofjules@choiminhodiet it entirely depends on the person and the way their brain+body works. intuitive eating worked for me, despite eating way above typical calories, I at least maintained my (low) weight. counting calories and obsessing over the healthiness, lead to orthorexia and not eating enough.
@emalemon2110@choiminhodiet she started freaking out about ketchup because it's red for salt... yes, per 100 GRAMS. you don't drink a quarter of the bottle! had to cut the salt demonisation as I have a condition that means I *need* high salt intake, which is possibly genetic, so she might need it too.
@choiminhodiet the last point was easy to reverse at least; showed her a box of fruit and bottle of diet soda, asked which is healthier, ofc she said the fruit! then showed her the traffic lights on both; fruit, red for high sugar content. diet soda, green across the board.
@choiminhodiet things like "carbs are bad for you and only give fast energy", "salt is bad for you", "green traffic light means food healthy, red means bad and can't eat it" etc. no nuance at all and then we have to spend a week deconstructing these harmful mindsets!
@ahjuxueTALKS@SkylarKristineY@KingpinThawne the only reason there'll even *be* a season 3 is because it's already filmed. if this was any other netflix show it would be canned based on the numbers it's currently pulling.
@ahjuxueTALKS@SkylarKristineY@KingpinThawne it's *called* lazy and bad fanfiction writing, changing the narrative because they think they know better than those that created the series in the first place. considering poor viewing numbers and low ratings, fair to say they clearly don't.
@ahjuxueTALKS@SkylarKristineY@KingpinThawne so why tf would Aang skip Roku for Kyoshi when a connection to Roku is *required*, and why would Kyoshi appear over Roku when her frame of reference is 200+ years ago, while Roku is right there with all the relevant info and context.
@ahjuxueTALKS@SkylarKristineY@KingpinThawne it's not about knowing info. it's about experiencing his regret on a personal level, his failure mirroring Aang running from responsibility etc. it's also in the lore that a connection to the previous life is REQUIRED in order to connect to all other past lives.
@ahjuxueTALKS@SkylarKristineY@KingpinThawne I never said Zuko's role isn't extremely important. that doesn't make Roku not important lmao. Roku is not just a history book, the more you repeat that the more I know you don't get the underlying themes, or just hate his character so much that you can't be taken seriously.
@LoftusSteve@itaintwhywhywhy right hand is definitely AI, it couldn't replicate the deco on the left house, merged the two houses, drainpipe missing its box and is a nonsensical wiggle instead, and it couldn't separate the top brick trim of the old front garden wall from the house on the right.
@ahjuxueTALKS@SkylarKristineY@KingpinThawne removing Roku's role removes a lot of thematic context from the series. if you boil his existence down to is his mistakes and a "glorified narrator", then I don't think you grasped the overarching themes of the series. which is funny since even my 7yo understands it lmao.
@ahjuxueTALKS@SkylarKristineY@KingpinThawne Zuko was destined to be Aang's firebending teacher and help him end the war, he doesn't guide him in the ways of being an avatar. that was all Roku, with some help from guru Patik. we're talking about Kyoshi replacing Roku as Aang's spiritual/avatar guide.
