Once again, this misses the point of Western Sydney International.
If you're going to the CBD, book a flight into Mascot. If you're going to western Sydney, where millions of people live, the taxi or Uber fare will probably be cheaper than from Mascot.
The PNG Chiefs have a solution if they lose their court battle over the “Chiefs” name.
The club would never play in New Zealand should it lose the case, with the stance backed by the NRL. @Danny_Weidler
Tonda Eckert on this afternoon's penalty shout: “It’s clear. If even the away manager [Steven Schumacher] says it’s a handball, I don’t need to add anything to that.” #saintsfc
This time a year ago, Sutherland avoided relegation by three points and 300 people would have been rattling around the stands at Seymour Shaw.
Today, 3,000 people have turned up to watch them play on the national stage for the first time, having finished in the top four of the NPL New South Wales.
A 10x crowd figure in any other world would have people singing from the rooftops and this is a story that deserves exactly that. The only lamentation will be, they actually had to shut the gates by the way. They could not let any more people in to Seymour Shaw.
Today, Australia Cup champions South Melbourne got the 1-0 win. But keep an eye on Sutherland. They could well become one of the stories of the second Australian Championship.
