To see her advice for students, see the above slides! Dr. O’Banion is open to mentoring students interested in ophthalmology- contact the Emory AMWA board for contact information.
Our #FacultyFeatire is Dr. O’Banion, an Ophthalmologist at Emory! Going through training, she enjoyed the whole process of medicine in medical school, whether the thinking & problem solving of medicine or the "fixing" of surgery, & loved how ophthalmology gave you all of it.
To pursue her passion in international health she created a Global Ophthalmology Fellowship (the 2nd of its kind!) at Oklahoma and completed a MPH for Eye Care at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine & showcases her international work at @GlobalOphthalmologyEmory.
...There is always room for improvement, and the moment one starts thinking that one has perfected everything, learning stops.
Dr. Muzahir is open to mentoring students interested in Radiology- contact the Emory AMWA board for contact information.
Our #FacultyFridayFeature is Dr. Muzahir, a radiologist here at Emory! She chose radiology and nuclear medicine as physiology had always been her favorite subject and nuclear medicine is functional imaging.
One notable part of Dr. Muzahir's training path is that she came to the United States after completing her post-graduate training in Pakistan. She had to re-do her training in the United States and believes this made her a more well-rounded professional and individual....
