@revfemme omg yes. in Duluth it's assumed most people own a gun because of hunting. so this is exactly what you ask. being from a city i remember being so alarmed when i found a gun safe in the house i nannied, but when i told someone they were like "that's good!" Definite culture shock!

@kevinmnye1 ok but there are also people (like me!) who are perfectly content renting a room in a house and don't want to ever buy a house because of commitment so they seek out private landlords. So not everybody wants/needs to buy a house!

@echeath my church (1st Lutheran Duluth) has an archive committee! we take our archives super seriously and have been digitizing everything recently. Apparently other churches look to us. I can get you the emails of the head people if you want me to?

@edercampuzano i lived in a tiny town in WI for a year, and saw a man get to a red light. He looked at me, looked at the light and the continued. I told one of my old lady gossip friends and she was like "oh he hates that light" apparently he never stopped treating it like a stop sign!
