@markcheathem @SethCotlar I took a course in college that focused on political rhetoric- so there is a field. I’m sure someone has looked at bumper stickers. The keyword “rhetoric” might help you find it.

@onmywaymo @EternityofCats Many coworkers have arm tattoos and our employer requires no visible tattoos. An arm tattoo is easy to hide. Hand, neck and face tattoos are much harder.

Tattoos are not as taboo now. Perhaps your reaction is more about former Mormon beliefs and an adult child?
