@SamCair25269847 That's a really interesting insight. Think it goes to the cultural factors & charisma kinda being "in the eye of the beholder," so it depends on what people meant in your case. Be interested to see any further thoughts you have on this over time. :)

Many ppl, esp. older ppl, prefer going to polls & so don't want a postal #vote.
But DYK u can have the best of both?
PVs can be hand delivered to your normal polling station on #GE2019 day, so u can take it & vote there if u can, or get someone else to deliver it for u if needsbe

#OUB329 wk3 Taught me how effectively successful #populist leaders employ social constructs, narratives & image management. Will take the opportunity #GE2019 offers to examine if & how similar approaches are visible in current UK politics, so I can expand knowledge & vote wisely

After #OUB329 wk3 I believe that the catalysts for #populism are often misunderstood as the full causes. True understanding (esp. of followers) needs awareness of wider local history & culture. Good analysis must look earlier than 2008 for the deeper roots of current movements.

#OUB329 My research skills are kinda rusty, any tips or links for finding info on what was occurring in Hungarian politics between Orban's 1st stint as PM & 2nd? Feels like there's gonna be some key context there for the case study.

@B329Leadership Some and some, but doesn't balance out: takes markedly longer overall. Think the research times are too short, esp. given subject matter. Controversial stuff, contemporary stuff, traits of specific ppl, key terms w/ multiple definitions - lots of caution is needed with sources

@Monteformayor Not anymore, moved to Bucks a few years ago when my wife got sick (we were long distance for years). Glad to be close to parents but miss a lot of things. Sometimes want to move back, but my MH care is so much better here. (Long overdue to visit though) Whereabouts are you?
