@ArdenwoodFUSD Thank you, @AlamedaCoSR2S, for providing such an awesome service to our community. The BikeMobile crew were awesome, and they powered through 52 bikes in 3 hours. โค๏ธ
Today has been a bit of a rough one for me. My whole team was laid off including myself. We were the top performing team in the company producing more than double of any other team. If anyone is looking to hire a frontend, backend or full stack dev, or knows of an opportunityโฆ
Popping back in here for a sec to celebrate some amazing AAPI artists who generously donated their works to a #LunarNewYear2024 art auction for the @ArdenwoodFUSD PTA. Incredibly humbled by you all!

@ProudMaricon I know this tweet was from a year ago, but I have many thoughts on this as a job seeker and hiring manager for over a decade. If you are still interested in the topic, feel free to DM. My tl;dr is that they amplify bias more than provide value.
What is Pokรฉmon Sleep? A new mobile game that you leave open next to you at night.
It listens to your breathing patterns, and in the morning you wake up to discover new Pokรฉmon with similar sleep habits.
You also earn berries as you sleep, to feed and level up your Pokรฉmon.
Any startups out there investing in organizational coach/learning and development manager/talent development types of roles?
I see it as a thing that exists in big corps, but want to know who's doing it in the <100 employee space. Or does it not happen because of $$$?
@SeanPageTalent Based on what I'm hearing, it's a mixed bag. It's easier in some orgs because throwing someone a title is "easy retention," but in others, a title also means more money, which is tight right now.
@Alice_J_Grimm Also, with the knowledge that the vast majority of managers get zero training, why would this not be a thing everywhere? There's far too much failing up in orgs.
@weepin_buddha @sdotstx @amy Thank you both for the connection! @weepin_buddha I'll send you a DM if that's ok? Thinking about this for my current org, but I've yet to encounter the role in practice b/c I'm a serial startup person. Want to understand why it's not a thing in smaller orgs.
@techladyallison Labeling the intrusive thought to move past the anxiety, and once through it, using it as a tool for self-awareness and to avoid complacency. eg. "What if no one buys my product? โก๏ธ I'm still going to build it, and here's how I'm going to validate it as I go."
#JoyRide is embarrassing. Incredibly unpleasant. Like most modern adult "comedies" it's raunchy simply to be raunchy, forgetting there has to be humor attached, and there's none of that. Objectifies men, targets white people. All shock value, "look at me" attitude.
Good people management has been very top of mind for me lately. ๐ค Honeycomb is big enough now that we are starting to develop our own "manager training" materials (except not just for managers, and more like an...immersive experiment?)
