On a bed with an IV drip in their arm, burned alive. How can anyone justify the ‘right to defend’ against this person? The nations and individuals who enable such depravity will never be forgotten. They all know and support it anyway. The morally bankrupt complicit in wickedness.
If you ever doubt how magical this world is, one day you will decide to go to a World Cup watch party in Oakland that you found online to root for a country where you spent two years trying to coax English out of the mouths of Cape Verdean teenagers. 1/7
@raggedydocs Two more:
- Mr Ryder falls for the Gardiner’s new whip smart governess and relishes throwing out expectations of class/society in stepping out with her
- Mary sings carols at piano but this time Mrs Gardiner and Tom join in, as does everyone else, and it’s a big joyful singalong.
We wish you a Mary Christmas! The Other Bennet Sister is returning for a three-part special this Christmas.
Ella Bruccoleri returns as Mary, with a host of other familiar faces from the series.

Most people watch the World Cup from a cafe or a couch. Jordan’s fans watch it at 5:00 AM from a 1,900-year-old ancient theatre. 🇯🇴
Football with a view like this hits different. 🏛️🤩
Even the grandparents in Norway 🇳🇴 weren’t left out of the party!
These legends are straight-up vibing in the hallway Rowing and holding the Norway Flag This is what it’s all about, generations celebrating together ❤️
Vincent didn’t paint this work just because he loved nature. Almond trees bloom early in spring and symbolise new life. In 1890, that new life had just entered his own family.
His nephew, Vincent Willem, had been born. Overjoyed, Vincent wrote:
‘It gives me more pleasure than I could express in words.’
He began the painting almost immediately, as a gift.
‘Almond Blossom’ became one of the family’s most treasured works, kept by Theo, Jo, and later their son. It was never sold.
And that’s why, to this day, it can still be seen at the Van Gogh Museum.
🖼️ ‘Almond Blossom’ is now on view in the exhibition ‘Vincent's Path to Fame’, until 6 September.
@mumbletwits Love this line: 'The United States has not seen the electoral splintering that’s happened in other advanced democracies (if America still sits in that category).'
This is the quote that Hanson is referring to. It wasn't Tim Fischer who said it, it was one of her supporters.
The Age, June 20, 1998.
Hanson is either a liar, or she has a shit memory.

@breaker0ne9 Lots of obfuscating. He's usually much sharper with media; been off past couple weeks (in terms of performance). Maybe he found some of today hard to defend (e.g., he started interview marking clear he didn't contribute to speech notes), so he went with strategy of deflection?
Joyce employing a tactic of playing games with Sarah Ferguson to fill the interview time. Talking a lot and not saying a great deal. He also sounds… flat? He normally has more verve? #abc730
Given there really aren’t many ON politicians in Federal Parliament (and strong media performers at that), we will be seeing a lot of Joyce in media opps between now and the next election. #abc730
