@Namaraledu A5: Either Google Forms/Surveys really give counselees another platform to use their voice with me. Being able to write out their thoughts really brings out a totally different engagement that I wouldn't typically get in session #RIHPD
@Namaraledu A4: Meditation! Before a quiz or test or even for a reset during the week, I offer meditation and students really look forward to it! #RIHPD
@Namaraledu A3: Sitting next to my counselees in session. Often times, counselees sit across from me and we're divided by my desk. When they're off-task or disengaged, I sometimes sit in one of the other chairs near them. It makes the atmosphere more relaxed and more conversational #RIHPD
@Namaraledu A2: Counseling looks different for each student, so meeting them where they are and setting small goals goes a long way. The more success, the more inclined they feel to do better #RIHPD
@Namaraledu A1: Real talk! Talking w/ my counselees about my own personal experiences when it comes to finding motivation & providing tangible strategies! #RIHPD
@Namaraledu A3: Coming from a Guidance perspective, using Google platforms assist in discovering needs of students that may not be as overtly discussed in sessions #RIHPD
@Namaraledu A1: Google Survey is my go-to as a counselor. Whenever I need feedback or need a read on what my counselees are thinking, surveys help teach me more about the population I serve and devise ways to help them #RIHPD
@Namaraledu A5: While trying to see as many students as we can on a daily basis, a main focus is preparing for the college application season. Collecting junior surveys and getting the senior class on board with transcript request processes & procedures is a main initiative right now #RIHPD
