(she/her) certified practising speech pathologist, master in health leadership and management. Neurodivergent and disabled person/advocate. Views my own.
@sodramaticpod His reaction to being a hypothetical stay at home dad was the most ridiculous, toxic and misogynistic answer I’ve heard today. Channel 9 should be proud.
We are recruiting!
We want to understand how the concepts and principles of neurodiversity currently shape the assessment, goal-setting and intervention practices of Australian speech pathologists.

That a man felt comfortable tying up 3 Aboriginal children aged 6,7 & 8 for swimming in a pool shows the level of racism still pervasive in our community that enabled these children to be treated like animals. Aboriginal children are forever denied the chance to just be kids too.
It’s International Day for People with a Disability. I’m proud to be disabled and neurodivergent. I wasn’t always, but that’s mostly on society. I’m glad I found my tribe finally.Disabled people like me can parent, work at a high level and study. If I can, so can you. #idopwd

Happy DLD day to those with mixed experience of DLD and their support networks, including speechies! Let’s hope 2024 is the year of consistently funded supports for this and other lifelong conditions in Australia and worldwide. @TheDLDProject_

What @shaunziegenfusz is not saying here is that he has donated hours of time as an advocate and so has the speech pathologist involved. Let’s get this family an answer.
Ok @billshortenmp your @NDIS is broken. I know a family of a young person with Developmental Language Disorder who applied in May 2021 and appeal was knocked back in November 2021.
We are STILL undergoing Tribunal nearly 2 years later. It’s disgraceful and disrespectful #NDIS
