Democracy is more fragile than we like to believe—it relies, fundamentally, on all sides agreeing to the legitimacy of the system. If we don’t have that—if a party that denies the validity of elections continues to grow in power—our democracy may not survive. It can happen here.
We all need to come together and cast our vote against the Republican Party--not because we love Democratic policies or candidates, but because we love our democracy.
Ballot initiatives are awesome because they allow citizens to have a direct in influence on matters of public policy.
