"May have been the underdog tonight, but our boys never thought that for one second." @TheFHSWarriors moving up from D2 to D1 returns to Lincoln for State 🏀with a 64-45 win #nebpreps
Terrick’s Sr. year.
Kids gravitate to him. He’s an excellent role model.
This little guy was sad last night; one of his biggest fans.
Young kids are always watching…show them the way.
Warriors lost 59-57 in OT in the Goldenrod Tourney Final.

Everything that is right about high school sports. Great role model, and plays the game the right way. I found out about Terrick’s career recently. Not the top scorer but has taken over 50 career charges! @tony_chapman76, that seems like some kind of record?@LJSSportsWagner
Always a good time of year to look over our GOAT list. We are seeking nominations for greatest athlete of all time at every Nebraska school. Think someone belongs on the nomination list, send it our way. We still have some schools with no nomination. https://t.co/D1J8LeKq3A
In Legion Baseball action, Battle Creek defeats Central City American Legion Post #6 in a game that meant much more for Battle Creek. The Juniors are still alive and will battle in the championship tomorrow night in St. Paul. The semifinal will begin at 5pm with Central City playing the winner immediately following that contest. The winner advances to state while the loser watches their season end. Come cheer these guys on! If you want a ride, let us know because we wouldn’t miss it.
We will have inning by inning updates and more on Twitter and Facebook. We also will be doing a 7th Inning Stretch post game video courtesy of Central City Dairy Queen and Taco Johns!
Dang it! To error is human and leave it to a baseball coach to correct my errors 😉. Tournament will conclude on Wednesday with the Juniors playing regardless of tomorrow’s outcome. They now must be defeated twice while all challengers are on the ropes.
The weather delayed the game but it was well worth the wait in the end for Central City American Legion Post #6 Juniors fans! With a 7-5 victory over St. Paul, the squad is now the last unbeaten team in the tournament and will need to regroup for another battle tomorrow when they look to clinch a spot in the championship.
Another win for the Central City American Legion Post #6 Juniors as they roll to a victory over O’Neil/Neligh 11-3. Terrick Gonsior, Oliver Herman and Colbyn Peters got it done on the mound while Riley Lavene, Conner Erickson and Peters have a multi-rbi performance. Martin Gonzales was lights out going four for four at the dish. They play on!
We certainly will not complain about the rain, but it did change some plans for today! The Central City American Legion Post #6 Juniors will now be in action at 7pm tomorrow as they begin their march towards the state tournament.
@KernelsBaseball summers teams getting it done.
