I'm being held hostage to pay a monthly "read only" monthly fee for up to 25 more years?! Is this something that the @AANP or the @wanp can help me with?

@ElationHealth has left me and my patients stranded. I have used this EHR since 2016, and while there has been ups and downs, I thought we were ending on a good note. When I asked for my patient data to be transferred to a new platform most of the communication shut down.

I even scanned in all of my old paper charts, after 22 years of practice. Elke, in customer service, just keeps sending me the same document full of jargon and no willingness to help me access the data that I need.

I have needed to keep paying for "read only" since July, and the data transfer only included date of service summaries. Clearly I am legally bound to keep full patient records fo seven years for adults and until pediatric patients are 25 years old.

@ElationHealth I have used your EHR since 2016. I moved to a new practice that uses another EHR, and I needed to do a data transfer, which has been a total sh*t sh0w. The transfer included visit summaries, but not chart notes, lab results, scanned documents nor image results.

This is a specific post for those arguing for Air Canada's prices coming out of NWT. Let's rewind a bit to the pandemic in full swing. Airlines were bolstered with millions in grants and subsidized heavily to a 100% of their operating costs, courtesy of the taxpayers. Fleeing a crisis today, a life threatening situation, should cost exactly $0.00. That's my opinion and I stand by it. I don't want to spend my time explaining such recent history. Any business that heavily subsidized should be willing to assist the very people who helped them in a crisis, don't you think? Tapwe 🪶

@brianmarkdane @WendyHassonMD @bluecrossidaho I wish this were legal, but doctors can’t unionize against insurance companies (only against the big healthcare facilities in which they work). Stand alone/private practice doctors are prohibited from unionizing by the RICO statutes.

@elmor_e So true. My 2 yo niece was on the pool deck trying to get water in a bucket and she silently plopped in. My brother was standing right there, but I dove in and made eye contact with her sitting on the bottom of the pool. I swam her up before anyone else had even noticed.

Whelp. The mouse is still my roommate. We have tried traps over every variety, bated with all of the things- PB, ham, cheese, jelly and even a PB with the plant he loves= mouse still living above my kitchen cabinets.

I’m stuck in my room with a mouse. My cat must have brought it in. I woke up a couple of times to sounds up I thought they were outside and went back to sleep. At about 4am, I got up to go to the bathroom and saw my new little friend run across the window sill.

My new roommate was temporarily located last night. My cat pulled the heat vent cover off (!!) and waited for hours. She got him because I heard him squeak, but alas, he got away.
