Well, I think it’s about time to make this unofficial and temporary break I’ve been on in to something a little more official and a lot less temporary 😅

In a bit under a month, I’ll be turning 23. Coincidentally, it’ll have been 9 years since I first purchased Rocket League on PC and over 10 since I first played on Xbox in 2016 as a 12 year old in eighth grade. Safe to say I never could have foreseen how much that decision would shape my life and the man I am today.

I’ve been able to travel the world, meet thousands of new people, and entertain many thousands more both watching in person at events and watching along at home. I’ve had innumerable sleepless nights, I’ve celebrated incredible wins and I’ve shed countless tears over crushing defeats. I’ve met so many people whom I now consider great friends and I reckon I’ll know for much longer than my playing career. I was able to take my parents to places they never would have gone and introduced them to an incredible group of other parents with whom they’re now close friends. I’ve been able to live and experience more life in these few short years than many people ever do.

I was just a small part of making this dream come true. Though I’ve been the one lucky enough to hold the controller, all of this would never have been possible without the help of so many other people. Thank you to my parents and my friends for supporting Robert as well as Comm. Thank you to every coach and teammate and manager I’ve had along the way that always believed in me. Thank you to every person at every organization that supported me fully and without question for years. Thank you to every opponent I’ve been fortunate enough to practice and compete against. Thank you to everyone working tirelessly behind the scenes to make competitive Rocket League something that’s even possible to pursue as a dream. None of this would have been possible for me to achieve without each and every one of you.

And perhaps most importantly, thank you to all of the fans. There’s nothing I looked forward to more in this game than making LANs and having the pleasure to meet so many of you that supported me over the years. Taking pictures, giving countless autographs, and having so many wonderful conversations with all of you was my small way of trying to give back for years and years of endless support and love and it was my absolute favorite part of being a professional Rocket League player.

Though this marks the end of my playing career, I’d hate to go too far. I’ve always had so much love for the game at the highest level and I’ve always thought coaching would be something that suited me pretty well, so maybe if I’m lucky you guys could see me on stage again, albeit in a slightly different capacity.

And just a heads up, I will be at Worlds in Fort Worth in a couple weeks! So if any one of you would like to say hi, please do!

For all of you that cheered for me and booed me over the years, thank you and I hope you enjoyed the show. 😜
