Seems perfectly fine and just to me - students with lower A-Levels can make massive learning gains at university (like me) and go on to great things (maybe not like me😮)

Especially the case for people with the odds stacked against them

I dislike the generalisations here- in Admissions I at least scanned every statement, and read in great depth for our most competitive courses (not super-niche) it made a HUGE difference to offering or not. Saying "no one will ever read your UCAS statement" is simply wrong.
