Yesterday, I wasnโt the nurse but the terrified relative. Thank you to the amazing team on AMU and @AcuteResponse for giving my dad the care you did. You guys worked so hard to try and save him and Iโll be forever grateful. You did @gloshospitals proud.
Sleep peacefully Dad โค๏ธ
After said nights, I pulled an โall-dayerโ and went to Birmingham to meet up with Mum who was on coach trip weekend! So nice to see her and the Christmas market ๐ and yes, of course we went on the carousel ๐ ๐
On my nights recently, I covered our Acute Haematology and Oncology Unit โhelplineโ. Iโve worked in there a fair bit during the day, but this was my first time overnight, meaning decision making was down to me! Was scary but Iโm super proud ๐ช๐ผ #SACTNurse#cancernurse#proud
We're delighted to have had our best-ever results in the National Cancer Patient Experience survey. Patients described the care and treatment they received as "outstanding" and "simply first class" https://t.co/zeSF2pyCug
Thank you to everyone involved in providing this care ๐
We are all thoroughly enjoying the Registered Nurse Study Day today, organised by the wonderful @Oncology_PD. Great teachers including @RebeccaRisbey@helenrazz and @Alison_L_T. We are lucky to have you all ๐
Iโve truly adored being โpractice assessorโ for an incredible first year student nurse these last couple of months.
Receiving such beautiful thank you gifts and a lovely card, along with positive written feedback for my portfolio/revalidation has brought a tear to my eye โค๏ธ
Been a while since I swapped my uniform for a pretty dress and spruced up a bit! Lovely afternoon and evening at a family wedding (my better halfโs side!) #wedding#family#happy
Yay!! Officially passed my Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy masters module! So excited for my next steps in oncology nursing! ๐ฅณ๐ #SACTNurse#Chemotherapy#Immunotherapy#SACT
Reminder: Make sure you donโt run out of your usual medication this #PlatinumJubilee bank holiday.
Order your prescription in advance and make sure you collect enough medication to last.
Happy International Nurses Day to all you amazing people out there! ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ฅโค๏ธ
I feel amazingly privileged to work as a Staff Nurse in our brilliant oncology centre, where our team spirit leads to exceptional patient care!
Wishing all my nursing colleagues best wishes, always ๐
2 years ago! This was such a good example of holistic care โค๏ธ
It was the hottest day of the year so far in 2020 and the wonderful cardiac ICU consultant for the weekend insisted all stable/well enough patients be wheeled out to the roof terrace for some fresh air and sunshine โ๏ธ
Busy shift today! First time giving IV Immunoglobulins, a very specialised haematological treatment for CLL. The regime/protocol felt intimidating initially, but thank you to one of our Haem CNSs Lisa for being an amazing support and showing me the ropes! #haematology#CLL
